A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, a mommy Titan and a daddy Titan loved each other very much, in the missionary position, for the purpose of procreation, and the planet of Azeroth was created to gestate their child until it was fully grown (because Titans are basically Galactus if he went on a diet), and everything was cool for a while.
Then these fucking tentacley-ass space motherfuckers called the Old Gods, who really didn't like the Titans, rolled up to Azeroth and said "oh hey, it's one of those baby spacegodgiants, we could use one of those in our plan to CONQUER THE UNIVERSE" and crash-landed on it and proceeded to ruin everything for everyone. Then the Titans slapped their shit, but the first time they tried, they did it too hard and nearly wrecked Azeroth, so they had to settle for beating them nearly to death and then locking them away. And things were good for a while even though they irreperably ruined Azeroth by doing shit like turning dwarves and gnones fleshy and making Ragnaros go "DUDE GENOCIDE LMAO".
Then they started waking up over the course of WoW lore and making things kinda bad again until you kill them, also Garrosh used the corpse of the only one they killed to power himself up in MoP.

They are all stretches and all of them don't really work out, because a simple MTG mana wheel is not hoe magic in Azeroth works, or used to work. For those planning on getting Legion, how do you feel about the class/spec changes/pruning? I'm on the fence about buying just because my main class is getting drastically changed in ways I don't like and none of the other classes are particularly appealing. The last beta patch made arms warriors a bit more fun to play so I'd probably roll warrior but in general the class changes seem pretty terrible.
Most other things about Legion look good but god damn these classes look so boring now.

Those Tauren are the greatest race known to both Tauren and NIght Elf kind, who saved many of their nobles and cenarious himself, as well as beat the ever loving shit out of Deathwing.
The Elves are one giant font of arcane knowledge and might with their own arcane well that the Kirin Tor somehow never noticed or saught out.
The whole place in general is a treasure trove of knowledge and power.

Infact, PvP is getting less than it did in WoD. The place holds the tomb of Sargeras, which has a bad reputation. It makes sense that both factions would avoid the island, especially due to the naga having a large presence there.
The highmont tauren are certainly strong but they sort of only exist as a tribute to that one tauren hero from the war., and their population is probably tiny.
It might just be that no one ever really went out of their way to screw around with these tauren.
The nightborn elves were inside a powerful barrier that may have also been undetectable by anyone else, even if the kirin'tor or blood elves knew of it they probably couldn't penetrate the barrier.

There is a single fight where there is an extended execute phase that matters and that is archie. and usually by the time you reach archie you have phases out warriors almost entirely to take dk's and sub rogues instead

In Lore, the Elves are kind of just trying to keep stable as best they can, and Lor'themar reflects this. He's doing the politics thing, not because he is best at it, but because he loves his people and just wants some semblance of assured safety.
It's another way to fight, though he vastly prefers to actually be out there and swinging a sword around.
