It's real, it was a Humble Monthly Original game, download-only, no Steam code or any way to actually purchase it just yet.
Which is a massive shame considering Wayfoward could make a good chunk of money selling it for three dollars or so, it was a surprisingly good game, the unique guns were crazy fun.
It's refreshing to finally find a game with a unique mechanic. Didn't expect a random catgirl Humble extra to deliver that.

Exactly this. They could have easily sold it for a few bucks and made a shitton from all the "10/10 amazing, creative indie hit - Polygon" reviews plus the Wayforward fans. The game was impressively good, granted very short but the unique gun mechanics were quite a pleasant surprise.

I don't think there's such thing as a "full game" now. What we know is that we'll get either 6 more games like this in the following bundles, or 2 games with 6 bosses in total, dependind on how you interpret Uramiko's words.
These games are funded by Humble store so they can experiment freely without fear of failing and losing money, and having them leaked is the best thing that could happen to them, since they can get feedback from a much larger audience, so if they see the opportunity, they may make a full game in the end.
