It's a lot easier, but I wouldn't say it's shit. If you enjoyed the overall complexity of 3, you'll be super fucking disappointed by this game. Between this and Stellaris though, I think HOI4 is a much better.

I dunno man, the learning curve compared to other paradox games was a lot larger for HOI3. Then again, I put hundreds of hours in CK2 then tried HOI3 for a week and just felt overwhelmed. HOI4 seems like it hit a sweet spot, at least for me that is.

It wasn't tedious, it was great. All they had to do for 4 was take 3, put in 2's diplomacy, fix the supply system and they would have had an amazing game.
