Honestly I felt NV had worse atmosphere for a while. I don't really know why, I guess 3 resembled an actual post apocalyptic setting a whole lot better than NV (because Fallout isn't supposed to be post apocalyptic) and the Capital Wasteland seemed to be more filled than the Mojave.

Megaton had a water purifier too you know. The idea of Project Purity was to make a big enough water purifier that it would purify ALL THE WATER, just fucking scrub the radiation from all the ground water in the capital waste. So that any random jackass could take a pot of water from the river, boil that shit and drink it, and not get radiation sickness.
Which is I guess a good idea, but they used a GECK to do it, which is either pointless (in some cases the GECK has just been a suitcase full of seeds and shit) or idiotic (in cases where the GECK is a miracle machine that can turn several square miles into a perfect wonderland of fruit trees and happiness).

The story, the OST, the gameplay & combat mechanics, the radio stations, the quests, the humor, the atmosphere, the land and layout, the graphics at the time, it's all really fantastic. Odd. The only Bethesda game I've ever had trouble with on console was Skyrim on PS3.
I put hundreds of hours into the vanilla, launch day versions of New Vegas and 3 and they ran okay and I encountered minimal bugs.

FNV on xbox 360 is total trash believe. Every 15 minutes of playtime and there is a guaranteed freeze when you enter a building.
On the ps3 is an unholy abomination with lags and even more freezes than the fucking xbox 360 version.
If obsidian is so bad at porting games into consoles then they should had made FNV a pc exclusive.
However fallout 3 on xbox 360 works far more better than FNV.
