i love the painful, but I felt it would've been better if there was more interaction between brad and the party members. Almost all the party members are cool and interesting at first, but you really only interact with them when you meet them, at the end of fights, and at the end of the game. still a great game, just would have been cool if they talked during like rests or something like that.

Make it longer I suppose? Allow some time to actually explore Buddy and Rando's relationship in a potentially positive way, rather than have a bitter falling out right off the bat.
I guess I would have appreciated Buddy's descent into madness more if we had seen more of the transition and moral ambiguity of it like we did with Brad. Have her resorting to increasing levels of violence be part of a character arc rather than a mass murdering choice that she makes at the get-go.

Buddy's arc in Joyful is underdeveloped. The game starts and she's immediately all like "blargh I'm evil now, lol." There's no progression to that point, which is frustrating. It was a blown opportunity to make Buddy as interesting as Brad was in Painful.
I get why Joyful is underwhelming. It's too bad Ding just did it because it was a kickstarter bonus. If he had more time, he could have made it a great ending to the series instead of the meh-ish anticlimax that it was.

This song is incredible when you first hear it after all that buildup before Big L. Having a rock/metal track with electric guitars after all the wacky music in the game makes it stand out like nothing else.
