I just can't help but ask how they consider Sweet Breaker's hyper to be fun to deal with in any capacity.
Sure it costs 50 stars, but it's negligible considering it not only applies permanent confusion on everyone else until the cards flipped are used, but also randomizes the cards, removing other hypers and in some cases card setups (QPD is already not the easiest character to pick up speed with).

Sweet Breaker isn't too bad I think. Maybe she could have 5 HP instead of 6, but that's about it.
I like her hyper though, it encourages everyone to burn cards. Plus, her reversing effect works if you play her trap card "Sealed Memories" too. It gives her a big boost to stats but does nothing to NPC enemies, which I like. I remember seeing a Sweet Breaker boldly stride into a boss space, confident they'd win.
Then they remembered bosses don't have cards, so they get no stat boosts.
Laughs were had by all.
Still, her hyper is a bit of a gamble since it's so damn expensive and you might give people a better hand. If you can burn through your cards or just run away from her, she just wasted 50 stars on nothing.

It's really not since for one thing any Sweet worth their salt is packing three pres priv's and even if they aren't 50 stars aren't hard to get back when you can fight someone else on the field and have +2 or +3 attack.
I'm pretty sure the majority of Sweet Breaker's will hoard cards starting at Norma 3 so they can combo Melting Memories with President's Privilege, so even if it doesn't work out, it's just 10 stars down the drain.

Speaking of Mario Party, that's why I fucking love using Sham. Her Hyper is so versatile and so dickish. She can stop your revives, she can make you roll onto a boss zone, or keep you from your base, or pull a Hyper and Final Battle combo. I love it.

Other than Mixed Poppo and Military Sora (which are bonuses for owning other games, who have different hypers/effects that make them slightly different and a little worse on average), there are only two characters in the game who have the same stat spread.
Those are Kae and Saki, who play absolutely nothing alike because Kae only has that spread half the time anyway.

Every DLC character has their own unique attributes stats compared to the original cast. They all have their unique playstyles. None vastly change how the game should be played however.
The least interesting characters I would probably say are Nanako and Syura. Mediocre stats and mediocre hypers. Nanako is a Peat with 0 attack, 2 defense, and an extremely RNG-reliant hyper that is positively funny in how hard it fails the user. Syura has 0/1/0 stats with 4 HP and a 4 recovery roll. Her hyper gives her +1 to all stats for every HP she is below max. The amount of times her +3 evade roll has failed to save her life at 1 HP is countless.
I'll just categorize characters by masochism, bloodthirstiness, and dickishness.

Saki's stats
4 HP, 0 attack, 0 defense, 1 evade.
Hyper is Big Bang Bell, one of the few trap hypers in the game. It's basically a mine that grows more powerful with time. It does 1 extra damage for every 2 chapters after it is placed meaning it can potentially one shot anybody if left alone long enough. If somebody steps on it and dies from it, half their stars go to Saki as if she had killed them. This notably includes herself.
The explosion radius is however 5x5 centered on the tile it was laid. Meaning if everybody else is in that 5x5 square, they get just as hard and their stars go to Saki if they die.
Strategies:
Throwing in a variety of trap cards. If Saki lays down a trap, a large amount of people expect BBB, so a way to counteract that is to field as many different trap cards as possible. When people have no idea what the trap is, they avoid the shit out of it. Which also lets Saki mindgame people into not stepping on her piggy banks even if she places them on her own home.
Placing her own hyper on her own home. This is done since it's the only way to guarantee somebody stepping on it. Saki's are completely willing to Allah Ackbar the everybody else for their own personal gain. If they get killed it's no loss to them and a free full heal. They don't get to norma if they die though so that's a bit of a negative there.
Laying her hyper on other people's homes. This is why she is a douchebag.
She can lay her hyper anywhere so don't feel constrained just to leaving it on homes. Major traffic areas like near or before homes also work well.

Well, for one thing, they revamped the MP so it isn't IP based, but lobbies instead. All the DRM free versions haven't been updated in forever, and are just a minor bump up from the JP release. The Steam version, even sans DLC, is like a whole new game.

It all sounds great on paper, but in reality Saki is by far the weakest non-joke character in the game (almost becoming a joke character herself)
Her stats are pretty poor and you'll find yourself getting killed in one shot fairly often (even by things like a chicken or Poppo), losing half your stars and a lot of valuable time.
This is meant to balance around the fact that her Big Bang Bell is extremely powerful, but the problem there is that it just isn't. It requires quite a bit of luck to get a kill with it and is directly and indirectly countered by a MASSIVE list of things that only continues to grow with every update.
The few times it DOES go well is what makes her so fun to play and definitely worth paying for the DLC for, but if you're in it to win it she's not the one you should go for.

Suguri's stats
4 HP, +1 attack, -1 defense, +2 evade.
Stats are suited to harassing negative attack characters, however she crumples like wet paper against anybody with positive attack. However even a negative attack character can get a lucky 5 and still be able to one shot her. Extremely beholden to the RNG, she's high risk, moderate reward. Her hyper exemplifies that as well.
Hyper is Accelerator, roll 2 dice for the entire chapter, movement, bonus stars, drop, all fighting rolls, if it uses dice, she rolls 2. This notably lasts until the start of your next turn. Meaning if somebody tries to fight Suguri after her turn has just passed, Suguri will still be under its effects.
Mechanically it changes her roll spread from 1 to 6 to 2 to 12. As it's 2 die, chances are tilted toward 7, refer to pic related to see the actual chances for each number.
It's most appropriate use is for combat, since it is an event card, one can also couple it with a battle card when actual combat is engaged. She can effectively one shot nearly anybody in the game is she's lucky and rolls 6s.
She can also roll snake eyes. This can result in hilarious failures.
As it also acts for movement, it is sometimes worthwhile just to use it to reach your home to norma. If you can gank somebody else on their own home and norma, even better.
Strategically, she's not complex, harass people who are not extremely likely to kill you, avoid walking in front of people, and save your hyper for big plays. Keep in mind drop panels are also affected so avoid walking into them if you can while under the effects of Accelerator.
Also something to note, a +2 attack character has an approximate 50% chance of one shotting you if they attack you. Keep that in mind.

Marc, the face of mercy.
Marc's stats
4 HP, +1 attack, +1 defense, -1 evade.
One of the stronger combat-oriented stat spreads in the game, she is one of the rare characters with both positive attack and defense meaning she can both dish it out and tank it, the other two being Peat(who can only tank it twice), and Sherry who always has to tank it. While very capable, she is poor at the attrition game due to her negative evade. She does have a counter to that though.
Hyper is x16 Big Rocket, one of the best hypers in the game. One of the most dickish ones as well both metaphorically and literally. It does her level(her current norma status, the amount of lit stars by your portrait) in damage to any live target of your choosing besides yourself. If this kills somebody, it counts as +2 wins for her, however she does not gain stars from using it and it costs 10 stars times her level to use.
Marc is one of the few characters in the game who may choose to purely go win normas AKA the murder rapist playstyle.
Strategically, she may favor draw panels entirely over bonus panels for the sake of more chances at drawing her hyper choosing to use stars simply to fuel her weapons of terror and bloodlust. She can be more nuanced however with her approach if she chooses.
Since the damage amount is specific and variable, some Marcs may choose to target people who wouldn't die, but instead be taken to 1 or low HP. Fernet for example can be cleanly taken to 1 HP from 6 if Marc is norma 5. If used opportunely, can allow you to steal another person's stars with ease and make a clean switch to star normas.
Marc can also choose to use it when killing may be even more beneficial than it usually is. If a person is actively chasing her when she is at low HP, she may simply slaughter her chaser with no recourse by simply rocketing them. Alternatively, she may use it to delay somebody from landing on their home norma. Repeatedly.

QP's stats

The statline that all characters are varied from, QP specializes in nothing and her hyper reflects this as well. Combat-wise, she can potentially attack, defend, and evade with moderate success. Or she can roll 1.
Her hyper is Hyper Mode. It is the original insurance hyper. It is a battle card that gives QP +2 attack for the battle she uses it. Potentially very useful for killing somebody when she needs to, but not overwhelmingly strong like most other hypers. It's real strength is its defensive effect. If QP is killed while under its effects, she does not lose any stars to her opponent, her opponent does not gain wins either, and she revives immediately on the next turn.
Basically a free life if used at the right moment or a potential kill if used at another. Or a complete misfire if she ends up living when she wanted to die.
Her playstyle is undefined and she can make good use of any random card she gets most of the time. She can fight with battle cards, survive with defensive and healing cards, or escape with mobility cards. She has no specialties or general focus. She dislikes card disruption however due to hyper mode's value as an insurance policy.
Strategically, she has a great advantage in being mostly ignored by most other players. Due to her moderate stats she is not a fantastic matchup for any other character in the game including herself. Due to her hyper, she also offers zero reward. QP's can win mostly by being a background object that people actually treat as a background object. Alternatively, she can also gank somebody unexpectedly for the rare times she uses her hyper mode offensively.

I beat these two missions both first try when I did my extreme grind two days ago. The majority of the missions actually with very few exceptions. Nothing took more than half a dozen tries though. And the ones that did stick out sorely just for that. Sweet Breaker 2, QP 1, and QP final. I even beat Tomomo Hell and two of the other original campaign finals first try as well. The last one took 2 tries I think.
It's not about luck, you just avoid the shit out of the AI and win while they muck around.
Star farm is the way to win in extreme. Avoid intentionally getting into an encounter with an AI player unless you have both attack cards and they're at 1 HP.

50 stars are a lot of cards and the only way to make her her hyper effective is using President's Privilage + Scary Solicitation and your Hyper the next turn.
Otherwise, is not different than a Yuki, Tomomo, Star Breaker, Kae, using a Super All-Out Mode right before your position. They are going to kill you, and it is 20 stars more cheaper.

Star? Nah. She's strong sure but the fact she can only win by wins and not stars is a blessing and a curse. It means you can be reckless with high cost cards but it also means you have to rely on being able to catch up to everyone else, or hope for battlefield to be active.

Stack the deck with "Out of Ammo" cards and use your hyper. Someone trying to burn cards will probably play it by accident and stop everyone else from burning their reverse cards.

SAOM bullies can be countered by cards, but Sweet eliminates that threat by removing your original hand AND making the new hand invisible to you.
You'd have to be exceptionally lucky to not only get a new card that could counter her, but to also be able to use that completely blind.
