Worth it, but not as good as 1 imo. The story is a little too ambitious and the gameplay seems to much more heavily focus on using guns. You get punished for trying to avoid gunfire and have to Rambo through every map.

It's good, but the maps are way bigger so you'll be getting shot a few times off screen. (also through windows). Don't forget you can look around by holding shift (no clue about controllers). Also 2's story explains what happens in 1 but don't expect it to spoonfeed you the information.

It's good but different. The core gameplay is mostly the same except you play as many different characters and the maps are larger. The maps are so big you'll frequently be trying to see as far ahead of you as possible to avoid being shot offscreen. It's worth it though and on sale on humble right now.
I still haven't finished Hotline Miami 2.
