It's hard to say. Online it's pretty well known, but I don't think much of the general public has a Vita or wants to play ports of old PS2 games on their PS3. SMT IV didn't have mass appeal and huge sales either.
This will be the game that puts Megaten on the map for pretty much everyone and I think releasing it in a much less crowded month will give it a strong push to newcomers.

I know that feel. Have you played the Persona games in Nip? They're more taxing to me than any other JRPG I've played in Nip (and I've played around 20). Not hard, just taxing. You know, I kinda wouldn't want to see Nyarlathotep in Persona 5. He was great in Innocent Sin (kinda lost a lot of what made him great in Eternal Punishment though), but I can't imagine him being as good.
