The only time a developer will be better than the players is if having knowledge actually matters, say there's a hidden box with a sniper in one level then the dev could grab that to get an advantage.
You don't need to know anything in overwatch except what the heroes abilities do and that just takes a couple of matches.

During the early stages of the closed beta, a team of Overwatch devs played against a team of TF2 pros, including Seagull. The TF2 pros got absolutely wrecked.
Then again, these devs could have been different people.
