I'm trying to argue that Nadine does have military training. I don't give a shit if she also signs some checks. She inherited the PMC (Shoreline) from her father. Which makes it likely he taught her somethings. From what we know in game she is the only form of leadership in Shoreline. It would make sense for someone who is going to pick their battles to have some military experience. Also, I think there's a news clipping you find in game of her and some of her men on a battlefield.

Also being on a battlefield with a gun is not the same as knowing CQC. Plenty of people and PMCs can shoot a gun, doesn't mean they know how to actively CQC an opponent/enemy.
Everything we've been told and seen about her doesn't give her justification to beat Nathan, especially considering the amount of sheer muscle and ability he has to do the things in which he is able to do. The Boss literally taught the man she beat, she taught virtually every man on the battlefield and Big Boss was so out of practice he had to be reminded of the very basics of a school he helped to figure out, and even then he manages to ultimately beat her and actually learn the differences between the two and how they fight, which took many fights.
Sure The Boss is a mary sue in this regard, but it at least has some justified reasoning prior and ultimately she ends up losing quite easily.
