What went wrong?
I liked it
Rare buyout
Thread can be over now, no need for avatarfagging autism.

I thought this and star fox assault were extremely good
Am I in the wrong?

The Rare buyout. If they had another 3 months to work on the game it would have felt a lot more finished.
Game is fun, kid
Post more official Krystal renders
>>340602590
Pacing. It was fun, but like hell am I ever slogging through all that downtime again.
Yiff in hell faggots
>>340602590
not enough Falco
Annoying mini games
Combat shallow as a puddle
Tricky
It has star fox on the cover making people think it's a shooter
I still liked it a lot. The graphics blew my mind at the time

>graphics
Fox was so fuzzy in that game. I wanted to hug him so badly.
Krystal not being a main character
>>340602590
Everything aside from the graphics.

Did rare patent their fur technology because I haven't seen that good fur in any other games but rare games.
Until nvidia hairworks came around, which eats 20 of my fps
I honestly like the game a lot and I've beaten 3 times, but off the top of my head some bad things about this game are:
-TRICKY
-No variety in staff combat. It's fucking boring and there's just about no reason to do anything but mash A. I think this is the biggest flaw
-Dino language is fucking horrible (but thankfully it's only the intro)
-Most of the voice acting is pretty obnoxious too, but not in the badass way 64 was because they're whacky dinosaurs and a scottish rock thing
-Lots of the minigames are unfun.
-You retread a lot of the same ground with the spell stones and krazoa spirits
-Game literally rips the fight with General Scales from out of your hands for "IT WAS ME, ANDROSS!"
-Brief arwing sections tease the fact that it's not a 'real' Starfox and then gives you a recycled 64 final boss after the above.
-TRICKY
Also, something I had never even thought to test before that's straight up embarassing, look at what happens when you don't draw your weapon during the 'scales fight'

Miyamoto said it needed to be a Star Fox game.
>>340602590
They took a game that wasn't Star Fox and tried to make it Star Fox.
I wish Nintendo wasn't afraid of letting new games be their own thing.
It wasn't Starfox Assault. Krystal looked the best in that game.

holy shit what the hell
that's a fucking travesty
>>340602590
It's only crime is not being a standard starfox
Game is good in its own right
It was the first game I had for Gamecube, I didn't know what to expect, but it became a nice memory. Now I think it's a decent game.

Haha
It was a shitty game but I still liked it.
on the other hand, how about that star platinum?
>vanquish ring worldstage
>>340610796
It's good if not a little light in content.
I didn't have any problem with the controls.
>>340611143
That always seems to be the same deal with platinumgames. It always feels like the game is too short. I'll be damned if they didnt do starfox justice though. They handled it much better than nintendo has in decades
>>340611378
That's true, it's the first game that feels like 64 since 64.
But everyone hates it for not being "modern" enough. I don't give a shit about modern, good games are timeless.
>What went wrong?
That Miyamoto and Nintendo ruined another Rare masterpiece to make another shitty Star Fox game, that sold like shit because the games has nothing to do with Star Fox and it was moved from the N64 to the failed GC. After this Rare got fed up with Nintendo shitty policies, and commited sudoku by selling themselves to Microsoft. Better dead than weeb.

Not marketed as a spin-off.
Would you wear it?
