What kind of game do you want?
>>
Bring back stats and all the skills that you've slowly been getting rid of.
Don't make the world level, have low and high level areas.
Let me pick any lock and kill any NPC.
Do bug-testing before releasing the game.
Bring back weapon durability.
>>

Someone in one of the FO4 threads posted a webm that shows that reloading a single bullet for the lever action rifle causes it to go through an entire loading animation as though it were loading all six or five bullets because of a built in flaw in the engine.
They can do reload animations because the engine is so fucked and that's pathetic.

Every settlement in Skyrim was boring, and Oblivion had some of the best settlements in the series. The wilderness in Skyrim felt like a dull frozen shithole, while I preferred the open forestry of Oblivion (although I'll agree to disagree here). Skyrim's politics had only the benefit of the war, the jarls themselves were uninteresting, one-dimensional characters. I never gave a damn about the Counts, but both Oblivion's guild quests and common town quests blew those of Skyrim out of the water.

I was really frustrated in Skyrim how you couldn't eventually get every perk. Like maybe I want to do magic, thieving AND combat, did you ever consider that?

Also you should make the guilds a little easier to find because I was struggling to find the Thieves Guild. Maybe introduce them in the tutorial so you can join them then.

Also the silent protagonist is a little dated now. I want to experience the voice and personality of the character I created. I know that will take a lot of memory to include so maybe they could remove some of the redundant armors like ebony and glass.

>>340522030
I can see a hybrid of the two working. Have some high level zones and some low level zones but make the low level zones scale to a certain level, so in the mid game they are still a challenge and won't feel easy because you are overleved for them. However in the late game they stop scaling because it makes no sense that on level 50 killing a bear is just as hard as killing one on level 10.
>>
>>340522361
In FO4 there are NINE types of Yao Guai to account for this;

At level 10, you're killing a weakened / sick / cub, at level 50 or whatever you're encountering hardened alphas.
>>
Daily reminder:

>The Imperial City
>Refayj's famous declaration, "There is but one city in the Imperial Province,--" may strike the citizens of the Colovian west as mildly insulting, until perhaps they hear the rest of the remark, which continues, "--but one city in Tamriel, but one city in the World; that, my brothers, is the city of the Cyrodiils." From the shore it is hard to tell what is city and what is Palace, for it all rises from the islands of the lake towards the sky in a stretch of gold. Whole neighborhoods rest on the jeweled bridges that connect the islands together. Gondolas and river-ships sail along the watery avenues of its flooded lower dwellings. Moth-priests walk by in a cloud of ancestors; House Guards hold exceptionally long daikatanas crossed at intersections, adorned with ribbons and dragon-flags; and the newly arrived Western legionnaires sweat in the humid air. The river mouth is tainted red from the tinmi soil of the shore, and river dragons rust their hides in its waters. Across the lake the Imperial City continues, merging into the villages of the southern red river and ruins left from the Interregnum.

TES 6 will be generic casualised shit.
>>
>>340522361
I like how Skyrim handled level scaling, replacing low-leveled enemies with higher-leveled equivalents.
Killing wolves gets easier as you level up, but as you level you're less likely to meet one and more likely to see a pack of them, or a sabre cat.
>>
>>340515432
A role-playing video game.
>>
>>340522361
It's exactly what skyrim did, shitlord.
fallout 4 can spawn high level enemies in low level area. but that is really rare and only start when you reach appropriate level for them.
hand placed enemies and story-related ones are a whole different thing.

>>
>>340522649
What I hates is that you could pretty much kill every kind of enemy on level one. You could just walk into a nordic crypt and kill the living corpses of legendary ancient warriors of old with a rusty iron dagger wearing some dirty rags . That's why I feel there is a need for high level zones. It gives you a sense of progression. At level one you were figting wildlife and bandits, now you are fighting draugur and dragons and powerful wizards.
>>
>>340520939
>"Pick any lock" is straight up retarded
But it was like that in Oblivion and it worked absolutely fine. The higher the gap between security skill and lock difficulty, the harder it was to actually pick the lock.
If you were able to pick a master lock in Oblivion with low security skill, you deserved whatever was in that container because of how hard that lock was.

Skyrim let you pick any lock as well, but they fucked it up a lot by using Fallout's lockpicking system, but making the picks as durable as twigs when not within the skill point thresholds.

Killing any NPC's was in Morrowind and to a much lesser extent in Oblivion. But Skyrim just went pants on head retarded with the amount of essential NPC's.

Unlike Fallout NV where it let you kill pretty much every single NPC, besides literally Yes Man, who just respawns every time you kill him.

Yet despite every NPC being kill-able you could complete the game fine. Certain story paths only got locked out because you chose to lock them out by killing NPC's.
What wrong with there being weight to your actions?

I don't see how "straight up retarded" is even an argument for being against it. At least elaborate.

The only reason it's like the way it is in Skyrim is because Bethesda is too lazy to make it work.

And I'm familiar with world leveling, I'm not that anon, so I don't have much of an issue with it, a hybrid of the systems works best imo.

No it didn't. Skyrim had scaling but most enemies started from level 1-10 and scaled well into the late game. A similiar sytem would have been fine but it needed some adjustments.
>>
>>340523026
What you're talking about is already in FO4.

Problem is that Beth went FULL RETARD with the actual numbers for it.

Way it works now is that there is a minimum level to spawn things within an encounter zone (say, the Financial District) and it won't scale lower to meet your level than that, but will scale higher.

Problem with that is that in Vanilla, the minmum level for the Financial District is level 6..

>>340520939

And did you also disagree with the suggestion of bringing back stats and skills?
Or was that one of the things you agreed with?

That's probably my personal biggest gripe with Bethesda games (besides their inability to write interesting stories or quests, or do justice to the lore they're working with.)
They just get rid of any semblance of complexity with each subsequent game.
>>
>>340523986
IT JUST WORKS
No seriously they keep selling more and more with each game so obviously most people don't mind it becoming less complex.
>>
To sum up my opinion:
>Bring back stats, add better perks which arent just spells cost less magicka, attacks do more damage.
>New engine
>Bigger cities
>Better faction system, as seen in morrowind
>Better adjusted scaling with high level zones
>Nerf crafting, make finding rare loot worthwhile and rewarding
>Add better spells so they are not stronger versions of each other
>No essential NPC/vaslty reduce the number of them
>The freedom to decline any quest. (Thieves guild in skyrim comes to mind)
>Better melee combat so it's not just spam left click, add better enemy AI while at it
>Better writing in general, more interesting characters, a more interesting storyline.
>Better boss battles (Alduin was a joke, you just had to Dragonrend him them hit him a couple of times)

This is what I can think of. Thoughts?
