Because people dismiss it as some "B-movie" game that only has camp going for it and overlook the gameplay merits it has. Also, it has a rather slow start, the game only really shines once you've unlocked a good amount of the weapons and have begun playing on Hardest or Inferno difficulty.

This game is fantastic, especially with friends (as cliché as it sounds). Beginning missions are pretty tedious so crank up the difficulty a bit, but once you start unlocking some cooler stuff and the missions get tougher its complete vidya bliss. Oh, and play as the air raider if you wanna use some sweet toys like mechs and tanks

I don't really need the dumb battle hymn shit, but what would be the most important and useful options? The menu itself is pretty unintuitive during combat.
