There is this common problem with ubisoft games where it shows that they can design an entire city, and make it look almost like the real deal but it feels that they got more artists than game designers, ddevelopers or any talent who can create a good game.
For example Nintendo games, as simplistic as they may seem, imprint a rather encouraging sense of adventure. Even Pokemon games are really linear but they evoke many emotions because they know how to use ambience music, NPCs, landmarks, and they know how to build a level, and this goes on top a simple but rich gameplay foundation.
Games like The Division, despite the over abundance of pointless detail, feels empty, and dead. NPCs in Ubisoft games are terrible, the music is not memorable at all, despite clear landmarks, none of them matter because the game rather has you explore a sewer than the Chrystler building or any other landmark, it feels more like a bad copy of Liberty City tha New York. I could go on, and the problem is not exclusive. Watch_Dogs was a poor man open world game, AC games get worse by the entry. They all suffer form the same problem.
Shitty, grindy, overdone gameplay seen a million times and some before.
Open world full of non interactive stuff, with nothing to do with reptitive missions that got tedious one hour in.

In a nutshell the division tries to be like AC in the sense that it tries to invite the player join a larger forum, but the Tom Clancy logo prevents them succeding.
A) Players cannot play as the bad guys, because that was part of the agregment with Tom Clancy when he was not a corpse. This is why you can only go ROGUE on multiplayer, and then the game has a plot twist where the Division has ROGUE agents who become terrorists...so I do not even know what was the point outside circumventing a contract clause. This is also why in Siege you play as a counter terrorist agency fighting the same ocunter terrorist agency.
B) It also means the games must be grounded, but given Ubi's nature it is neither realistic, nor fantastic, just retarded.
C) The plot is terrible, again the TC agreegment hurts it so fucking much. In theory it could had been like Fallout set in this decade, but its attempt at mature and realistic situations is so laughable that MI movies seem closer to reality by comparison.
D) I do not think anyone at Ubi knows how the U.S government work, much less the structure of the army.
Honestly I am only playing because I am still anus aegrum over losing so badly in the Dark Zone, so I am commiting myself to git gud in the name of challenge, and because the stuff they added later is kinda neat, but it is still 5 / 10 at best, the community is beyond being cancerous.

I got the first Watchdogs on PC when it first came out and thought it was kinda disappointing. The story was pretty meh, the most exciting part at the end when you cause the old guys heart to explode and fighting against your old friend with control over every piece of electronic.
The graphics were disappointing when compared to the trailers and the level design was pretty bad as you always had to fight your way through. Aiden never had any military experience, yet he was mass murdering mercenaries and criminals with ease. A hacker shouldn't be able to just rely on his guns and bullet time. It should have been like MGSV where you can change between stealth and action. Stealth first because you dont have the upgraded equipment and guns to go Rambo on them, yet. Then with the proper equipment and skill points, you can take the action route or become a highly skilled infiltrator.
That said after it was revealed that the PC graphics were downgraded so it dosent make the console editions look bad, it was quickly discover you can remove this limit. The game looks fucking AMAZING without the downgrade and brings a darker atmosphere to this gritty cyber distopia Big Brother world. In all honesty, they should delay the game until the newest versions of the PS4 and XBONE come out so it wont look as bad as Watchdogs 1.
All in all I am going a week so /v/ can gather a consensus on whether this game is good, bad, or just a hacker meme game. The cover makes it look alot more fun than the first game and I think with a topic such as having companies become so powerful that they can control a city should be dark and gritty like the first game.
Also the character designs are childish. The girl on the right is wearing on her head Islamic garmic, but wearing tight booty jean shorts, a shirt that shows her bra and bare shoulder. What? On the left we have Delsin from Infamous Second Son. The main character is a black criminal with a DLC orange prison outfit.

Like 95% of the game's main missions take place in the upper four districts. You almost never visit the city south of the Seine.
There's one short sequence taking place in Quartier Latin, one single mission taking place in only a small area of Les Invalides and you never even visit the La Bievre district at all in the main story (although it's the best designed for actual parkour in the whole game).

cyberpunk doesn't have to be bladerunner perpetual east coast rain. Sunny San Fran is a great spot what with silicon valley and if they took the style of that GTA5 mission where you infiltrate Apple and plant a bomb in the demo iphone and stretched it out to a full game it could be really good.
