horses weren't effective, but they were still used, and a lot of military planners thought they might still have a role in a contemporary army. in fact, america brought in cavalry to the western front despite 4 years of experience beforehand showing that horses were going to be useless.

Cavalry was used immensely outside of the western front. The Ottomans used them all the way up until 1918, and the reason they utilized them less in Europe was because their own regiments performed like ass against their Russian counterparts, they still made heavy use of them in the ME.

His uniform, and insignia, are entirely British. The insignia, specifically, appears to most closely resemble that of a Guards Regiment.
I've compiled an image for reference. The only U.S. equipment he ever has, are weapons, and only sometimes.
He's held:
A U.S. M1917 Knife, German C96, German MP-18, U.S. Trench Gun, and a U.S. 1911.
All while having a British uniform, from heads to toe. All gear is British, his actual jacket is British, his "cape" is a standard issue British Groundsheet, which was a multi-function piece of kit that could be used as a rain "cape".

I can find no evidence of a black soldier in any of the Guards regiments. My research is of course limited, I lack the proper resources and literature, but even if there was, the amount of digging to find out is proving ridiculous.

We want to delve into some of the unknowns of World War One. Maybe people don’t know that this person fought or that person fought, that this army was involved. We’re stretching out and bringing all those stories into the game. But I can’t go into any specific details as far as which armies or characters we’re depicting at this point.

I'd love to see the same developers comments on a game that shows hitlers good leadership and the sufferings of the german people by the war crimes of the allies. A game that shows all the reasons why the germans actually tarted the war.
