Dragon's Crown and Muramasa were both awesome, and I'm really excited for me to receive my Storybook Edition.

I'm only about 2 hours in but I'm loving it so far. Its combat is really similar to Muramasa's but it seems like the game has a lot more RPG elements like the alchemy and item system. Pretty cool bosses so far too. Just had to fight some ice giant and a spooky black ghost thing.

Not those guys, but I did find Dragon's Crown to be somewhat slower and not as engaging as Muramasa. Its still a good game and got better the more I played (doing high level solo Elf runs were amazing). But I can see why some people would be disappointed after Muramasa.

As long as you're willing to accept that people don't agree with you. Muramasa nd Dragon's Crown had great level design. Some people like treading over previous areas with new enemies and challenges. Muramasa did this exceptionally well since you could travel to any area freely. Dragon's Crown was limited to instances which wasn't as good. But as you played the game longer, you realized it was part of the design of the game. To replay set levels over again to get higher scores and find hidden secrets.

It's really easy to lose track of your hp, one time I noticed that I was literally in single digits and only surviving from the hp my vampiric ring kept giving me.

So, to whoever has the game already, I played the demo on the japansese PSN some months ago and I found it to be too easy. Like way too easy and unstopable. I remember the original Odin Sphere on the PS2 having a fuck ton of problems, requiring more technique to play rather then combo mashing.
Is the real game that easy to kill enemies? Was it just a demo thing? Did I just got better at it or something?

Classic is much more clunkier than the modern system. The pow meter wasn't used for skills but for regular attacks. Run out of Pow and you get stunned for a bit. Item management was a bitch too.

Classic was harder due to the POW meter limiting your combo time and the game expecting you to use alchemy. Now that the Muramasa combo system is in and the anti-infinite meter is out, there's way more style in the game but far less technique.
That and with age comes experience. You're probably just better overall.

Be ready to dash away at a moments notice. You don't have i.frames like you do in Muramasa, so enemies will hit you way more often. The piercing dash is great for him since once an attack cue comes up you can go through him and avoid it.

No, you're just overleveled for the demo.
The game is still easy (like DC) provided you actually look at the scree, but at least it'll fuck you up hard if you get it (like muramasa) and it's still more about anticipating than blocking/dodging outright. On hard bosses/mid bosses will chew through your life very easily if you don't watch what you're doing. Like the ice giant breath is several 50-60 ticks if you run into it when I'm at 240 health, but it's still pretty telegraphed.

I'm hard-pressed to recommend shielding, mainly because after doing a Muramasa LP for so long I'm too used to the evasive mindset.
Shielding is required for some enemies though, and you do get rewarded for blocking with some grade points. Don't rely on it, but try and use your instincts to know when to block vs evade/dash.

Your currency is Phozon
You can use them to grow food for health/stat XP. That food can also be used at the mobile restaurant to get even more XP. Some of the plants are also used in alchemy for unique pots.
You can also use Phozon to level up your weapon and skills. Each level will increase your overall attack power and the capacities of any skill you equip.
Leveling via Food also gives you points towards passive unlocks.
You don't level up as well from murder as you do via food and phozon management. This game teaches you a very important lesson: don't kill, eat food!

Traveling in Muramasa wasn't enjoyable at all. Only the environments were changing and the only real difference in term of challenge with normal enemies was due to the Tengus that were harder to reach because they were flying. The structure of each level was always exactly the same and the level design had very few variations. I honestly don't understand why they bothered adding a dedicated jump button instead of adding a different attack button.

You don't have that blade until late in the game. Also, there's plenty of incentives to using different blades. From trying new things to see how they work or some bosses/mob fights which require different tactics. You can claim blade arts weren't that important (I beat the entire game once without using them). But they were still fun to use.

Not at all. I did the DLCs before even resuming Momohime's storyline once I saw that the gameplay was exactly the same. The DLCs kept the game fresh, having to travel a second time through the entire game with a second identical character to fight bosses that I had already encountered in the caves of Evil with Ninja guy was not exciting. Having to relearn the game to beat asses with a cat having three different forms and 3 different gameplay was exciting, but playing twice the same game to access the post content with only several different cutscenes wasn't.

The combat is very dull. I do think you can get a lot more out of DC if you find the right character for you, but it's even more simplified than Muramasa which was 1 button and special ability spam. It's no surprise that people find Dragon's Crown a little dull.

Immediately go for the balloons so all the adds and second boss pop. Then, throw a level 9 drain at the mob for shit tons of phozons. This should clear out most of the adds and the second boss to a degree. Then start deflecting missiles back at the ship and needle stabbing/Ice shotting the balloons.
Also, check your accessories. The def boost really jumps up for +1s

Muramasa has a pretty simple movelist that doesn't take much to master.
Dragon's Crown is a repetitive clusterfuck with boring gameplay. It's also far too focused on Diablo style loot without Diablo's build depth to complement it.
I remember Odin Sphere to be the most solid game, but also had weird leveling and boring moves. Played all characters but Velvet, whom I remember to have the worst movelist in the game.

Every chapter sends you to a different area and you mostly just fight your way to the boss. There are a couple of optional side paths you can go on that lead to treasure, but you'll only have to backtrack for them if decide to skip them.
Every area also has a couple of checkpoints that you can warp to in case you do miss something and need to backtrack. If you get everything on your first run of the stage, then you'll never have to worry about any of this.
Definitely nowhere as tedious as Muramasa could get.
There is no point to get it on ps4 if u have both systems right, barely any graphical difference if any and lag doesn't seem aparent on top of that the PS3 version is 15$ cheaper from where I'm getting it

I played a fair bit of the original game on pcsx2, but the sound especially didn't quite want to work out. It was playable but there were lots of little things that weren't great.
I played the demo but I dunno, it seemed WAY easier than what I remember from the game back in the day. I was pulling off crazy combos just by mashing square, and pretty much never got hit.
I take back what I said about hard being too easy, the mini bosses in the netherworld are kicking my ass, I have to rely on alchemy and when I'm short on materials I'm fucked.

A tip: there are a shit ton of bones that can be found lying around the floor, make a juggler potion using them that changes items on the floor into something else, drop most bones and viola, loot.

I think ps3 and ps4 are both 1080p while the vita is whatever the vita runs at. The only time I've noticed any frame drops is when I'm filling the screen with potion effects, I'd imagine there's even more leeway on consoles.
