They're a lower level than your MC though. It's best to just keep a full roster of backups so they can train while you're out fighting, they'll end up a higher level than guys you just make the moment you need them.
It also helps if you want to swap someone out temporarily so they have time to recover for free.

Dancers are somewhat versatile and it depends a bit on how you're using them. You're unlikely to regret focusing on Agility, though.

Demon Gaze is fairly good outside of some balance issues. It's outclassed by DT2 in almost every way possible, but I still enjoyed it.

Demon gaze is a weak one because it is riddled with RNG, bad gameplay decisions and bullshit balance.
The main problem is that there's no sweet spot between being completely buttraped by a boss and completely rolling on it.
Several end game bosses have a healing spell nearly fully healing them and I had read about some anon that had let the game play for 1 hour straight on auto mod just to see if the boss had a finite MP pool. And case is, bosses haven't finite MP pools. They can heal completely every three turns without any limit.
Also the customisation part for your character is weak as they learn their skills automatically with the levels and you can give them 2 special moves max thanks to artefacts.
It's a shame that it is so mediocre, it had nailed the thematic dungeons (water one forbid completely magic for example).

Elminage original is probably easier to get into than Elminage Gothic, simply by the grace you aren't locked to dungeons because of story, you can go practically wherever the fuck whenever the fuck, and if you know what your doing you can grind in higher level dungeons for better shit.
I just hit level 2 as a wizard and it said I learned "Slow", but I can't see the ability under my skills or spells.

I liked Demon's Gaze a good bit, more for its aesthetic package though the gameplay was pretty decent. Agree that Dungeon Travelers 2 has some complex and interesting gameplay systems but both games pack some difficulty behind them, DT2 will regularly fuck you up and Demon's Gaze has that fucking dps-check boss that regens fully every 3 turns and gets two actions a turn with all kinds of bullshit it can do. I got most of the way thru both games but never completed them.

Based off my several hours of gameplay you a fighter/knight/wizard/priest core takes care of a lot of your basics, a samurai is nice because they get an AoE slash but I personally found a few fights where I was really glad to have my Ninja hiding and going for Assassinations because nobody else on either team could hit each other once I ran out of MP.
You probably will want to make a bunch of extra characters anyway because of how the revive/rest system works plus the fact that benched characters will get exp and gold while your main team goes out too.

Heal up when you need to because dying sucks in this game. You probably want to use those item farming zones a few times to try and get some better gear and you should also use morale to flee from any fight where the enemies are unusually strong. Also you need to manually level up in this game so if you haven't done that you need to check your character status.

The dungeon travelers 2 defense team will try to convince you it's the best dungeon crawler ever without explaining shit.
It's not bad, the game does have all those fan service shots every time it tries to give you any fucking story. There's a ton of game to it, but boy is lots of designed to make progress slow as fuck, such as leveling takes a while and you might just want a guide for party builds to make it move faster, trying to learn things yourself is just going to make it longer because of class change stuff and trying to get a feel how much leveling certain skills actually starts making a diffrence in combat. Also equipment crafting is a necessary tool the game supplies where you smash together various effects from your weapons and armor into a single piece of equipment, but it's a shitty RNG roll for what transfers on gear, and the chance to craft shit is a random event you get wandering dungeons with a chance of it happening once per dungeon run.
Also the party is composed of nothing but women except for the main character who doesn't actually participate in combat.

Start writing up a guide by taking into account enemy level and number and running back into town after a fight and seeing how much time has passed, do that over the course of several enemies and start figuring out the statistics, then apply that to your normal dungeon crawl and keeping a tally of what you've fought.
