One of the best things about the original Mirror's Edge was the ability to disarm enemies and then throw the gun to the side. It gave the players the power to choose whether they wanted to be non lethal or not. It made having a gun feel like a serious thing, rather than just a forgettable norm like it is in so many other games. Removing that was one of the worst changes this new game made.

I really don't think making it open world was that big of a problem. It's just fun to freeroam and parkour without being locked into strict level progress imo. The problem is when you make it FUCKING BORING.
