Smart Cursor's been pretty good to me since its implementation. Like the only wonky thing about it is block placement, for which it's only good for filling squares.

have you ever tried breaking a wall without destroying the room next to it? frankly thats another thing thats bugs me. Plus digging down in the surface causes the cursor to priotize the trees regardless of the smart cursor options.

I use mostly the shroomite claws so prioritizing a tree isn't much of an issue for me.
I have been bothered on occasion by the fact that hammering away walls reaches further than the block bounderies, while the opposite is true for placing walls, but those are some relatively small quirks in the grand scheme of things. Once hammers get fast enough I default to hammering walls manually, while the slow ones aren't fast enough to worry about breaking boundaries.

Terraria is one of the top 20 best games of all time. I don't expect Otherworld to live up to the precedent set by Terraria, developed over 6 years, at first but I hope it's at least a worthy successor.
