Games ordinarily take that long to develop, your AssCreeds coming out yearly are by far the exception, not the rule.
I'm hoping for some niche announcements for the 3ds. I gave up on the wiiu and anything of any value coming directly from Nintendo.

They're not going to announce anything substantial, since they're seemingly saving everything for their NX reveal later this year.

The only thing I care about is whether they'll announce release date for the remaining three Smash Amiibo figurines (Cloud, Bayo, Corrin).
Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter, and Pokémon I know I'll pick up sooner or later; and I couldn't give a shit about Zelda.

How am I wrong?
Zelda was never slated for release in 2014, only (late) 2015. It was then delayed a year, and delayed a little further into 2017 for an NX port to release simultaneously with the Wii U version. These aren't unusual delays at all, it's just Nintendo was foolish to tease it as early as they did back in 2014.
