I first played it back when it was .4-something, can't remember which. That was before auto-climb.
.54, while having the auto-climb, is the version closest to the one I started with. It's also the version that seems to be the most available.
Your server, while I agree is a step in the right direction, still has those shitty enemy fire in the minimap, shitty rifle spread, and shotgun enabled, among other things.
That's why I prefer .54
