You missed out, it was a magical time of Engrish out the ass and a completely different world to what we see now, in classic or renewal alike. Maps were redone, remade, relocated, created period, then Mobs were completely rebalanced and relocated, nothing remains of the old West Pron Cave sadly but I can still picture the layout in my head clear as when I was there. I wish so much that a pserv could exist for this but the whole server code leak didn't happen until beta, long after these changes, so Alpha RO is most likely lost to the cosmos.

Delay is untouched, i think. You also seem to confuse aftercast delay with cast time, the latter being split into fixed and variable in renewal, so insta-cast is unachievable.
I'm a still a bit sad that I couldn't download the game and play it all those years ago when I tried. Still not sure what it was, but the main site for it wouldn't let me download the installer for some reason. It looked like a cool game and I really wanted to try it out.
After ToS i just couldn't resist downloading it and playing it instead again. Dual-boxing on iRO Chaos and the server feels like it's absolutely dead. I'm not sure i've seen more than 2 actual living human being.
best choice is to just find a well populated lv99 cap private server. there are actually a few servers that stay true to 2005-style Ragnarok, complete with no warp NPCs, no heal NPCs, nothing.
Unfortunately though those servers are usually dead because the community is full of ERPing teenagers that want lv999 and 999,999x EXP rates. Game balance seriously goes out of the window around lv120+

game balance for level 255 pre-trans is almost perfect. Lots of servers have been running those levels for longer than gravity has renewal and many of them are experianced in what kind of bullshit you can add before it is too ridiculous.
