Hopefully it's a balance between 4 and 3 where You can have power but also have guns be relevant as well vehicles, i m in the minority of people who enjoyed 4 but I know it had big flaws and vehicles being pointless was one of them. There's tons of great vehicles that would've been great to use in 3 instead of 4 but since you can become the flash or a flying squirrel it made all those cool vehicles just another check mark on your blocks list and that's it.
Love the mythology that saints row has become and I can't wait to see the connections this has.

They aren't all that alike past them being open world "gangster" stories. They both have humor and ridiculousness but SR2 is cranked up way further while SA is less cartoony. The maps and stories are pretty different as well.
