I think it looks worse but that's just me. They also added a weird ghosting/blur effect to everything, including the cutscenes.

I fucking loved Dying Light and The Following.

Never played the first Dead Island though, always heart Riptide was shit.

I would say no, only because it does not include Riptide. I you can get the entire collection (DI, Ryder White DLC, Riptide, even the 8-bit game and Escape Dead Island) for under $10, I would say go for it.

Honestly, I never hated the series and I played through all of it multiple times. I can be especially fun if you have someone to co-op with. Dying Light and the EP is really good though.

Wait till they patch it. They forgot to put half of the weapon mods into the game.
Graphically it's a generational leap, every texture looks crisp now and the lighting is like Dying Light.
