E3 cannot be bad. If you're focusing on E3 for the games, you're thinking about it wrong.

A. Get excited for new games coming out.

E3 is never bad if you go into it like a talent show rather than a concert. There might be good stuff there, but for the most part you only go to see the ones that crash and burn.

All the insider media has basically confirmed that Sony was going to target the same practices that Microsoft was aiming for but backed off at the last possible second when they saw the negative reaction, not to mention how they changed from $499 to $399 at the last second as well. Again, I don't fault them since it's all paid off, I just don't like the idea that there are people out there who thought Sony was saving video games when they would absolutely love to get rid of things like used games and have always online consoles as well, just they knew when to back off on that plan (for now)

Already confirmed to not be announcing anything. Only unknown quantity is Zelda which has a high chance of disappointing considering the last game in the series was SS and it'll most probably follow the same formula for this series that has been on the wane since 2002.

Don't even care about the Xbox anymore, it's no longer a video games console to them but a windows 10 tv box. They've outlawed producing exclusives for this box that aren't on tv, have no competitive reason to fund 3rd party games anymore and effectively aren't going to do anything interesting or unexpected. Surprised they even still bother to show up for E3

At least they'll try unlike the other two but VR and Neo are two bad avenues they're going down and those will likely be their main focus. The next year of PS4 games will be good and I look forward to seeing more on those but I think everything in their future direction is going places I don't like.
Not going to bother watching any of it live, Not staying up for Sony this year either though I'll watch that one the next day.
E3 has been dying for a while but its looking more and more like last year was its swansong and this year will be the moment where everyone thinks "yeah, this is finished"
