Best fucking FPS game in years, and personally my GOTY as well. This is after Stellaris, DaS3, and TW: Warhammer being considered as well.

Ultra-violence. Nightmare got boring with playing it safe all time.

Dark Souls is my favourite series of all times and stopped playing after beating it once.
Bought Doom on release and played through 3 times and keep going back because the core gameplay is just so good.

I don't think you played the game past UV, if at all. Maybe you can avoid that the first map if you play it like CoD and baby behind cover
It is good.
Multiplayer disappointing
It's a solid ~6.5/10, but standards are so low that any FPS which doesn't play like a typical modern military shooter will inherently be praised to an inexplicable degree, and DOOM is no exception.
Compared to Wolfenstein: TNO/TOB, it takes some steps forwards and some steps back, ultimately putting it roughly the same level. At least it's not actual trash like Shadow Warrior 2013 or Hard Reset.

It was good, just wish it was longer. After you beat SP, go to snapmap.
I'm enjoying it. Playing on normal right now because I'm a scrub, but once I beat SP I'll probably play through on ultra violence and then nightmare after that
