When 3DS dies we put it somewhere else, best would be a mobile game. Also note users that they will need a dedicated-to-games android device.
We then fill it with more Himukai Yuji lolis ala nendroid style like in Project Mirai. Then the game must be rogue-like, with an online mode that randomly changes the map for each room/lobby made. There will be a few maps that won't change, though, as these will be the "pit-stops" where the Geomagnetic Poles will be located.
Then add all the character classes(merge classes that basically does the same) and make tons of sprites/palletes for each.
Then add voice acting(both in Japanese and English). And you can even add your own voice too for maximum self-insert.

Untold uses character portraits in the manner it does because of money constraints, I'd believe. These are budget games. The other games don't show your characters in this because they are customizable and don't have dialogue/set personalities and so on, plus it could be another pointless thing to dedicate time to if all character portraits got different facial expressions drawn for them.

I would be really interested in hearing what you had in mind about the map design though. As it stands with the 1st person perspective, you see whatever is in the corridor or room directly in front of you, be it the back wall at the end of said corridor/room, visible enemies along the way, and maybe some branching pathways going off in a 90 degree angle from the direction you're currently facing. You only see a limited part of the floor you're on at any given time, unlike with a bird's eye view that many RPGs have that gives you tons of information about the surroundings even beyond what a person standing in your characters' position would logically be able to observe. Less is more, and the 1st person perspective makes the exploration part of gameplay better in this way. You need to check each branching pathway and nook and cranny to see and know what's in there, and you may also be surprised at whatever you find behind the next corner.

Four: Untold makes you choose between your own characters and a shitty story party with extra stages. It also has a shitty gem system where 4 has straight up subclassing. To top it off, you have to complete story mode to unlock teo extra classes for your original team. And since there's only one save file, that means you have to choose between your story party's progress and starting over with your own fighters.
Just wait for 4 to be on sale and get the digital version. Besides, 4 has better classes. Fortress > Protector

VFD's dungeons weren't nearly as complex, though. It's basically a JRPG where you build your own party, complete with saving the world through the power of friendship. It's a lot easier than EO as well, until the post-game where you finally get some bite to the difficulty. Still really like the game, even if it is too easy.

Not necessarily, it's more about it being impractical or even impossible to convey something with a visual clue/hint, which the series forgoes pretty much entirely in favor of text boxes explaining everything.
You can't really flip a switch and have a visual cue for what it did because the perspective is so limiting. You can't rely on people looking for any details on the screen because the perspective is so limiting which ruins a lot of possibilities since you're just supposed to have some imagination instead. Not directly related to the other points but you can't have a bunch of possibly cool visual effects pop out at you like running into a trap or having something ambush you and instantly be a scary OH SHIT moment or something like that. I could probably think of some other examples if I really tried.
