I was on attack on Dorado pushing the payload as much as possible while having a Widowmaker as a teammate. I was the main one moving the payload the most of the time all through the final stretch of the map. For the entire match, the Widowmaker was off on his own getting kills for himself or whatever, and he was never on the payload at any point, but I didn't care enough to say anything about it. We reach the final stretch of the map and I hold on to the escort during overtime, but I end up dying and the game ends with a defeat. It should have just ended there, but the Widowmaker loses his shit for some reason.

Lucio doesn't have the point-to-point mobility prowess of Mercy. Your heal is also basically on cooldown, while Mercy can maintain her more powerful heal as well as make her teammates more lethal.
Speedboost is for koth maps. Teams with Lucio still have to seek out healthpacks on the map because his only substantial healing, healing that actually matters during a firefight, is unreliable, while Mercy can prioritize her heals and can top teammates off faster and more frequently. Revives also come at twice the rate soundbarriers do.
Basically, Lucio is the pub support king. He requires little actual effort to perform to a mediocre degree, while Mercy lends more support on an individual basis but can quickly change the focus of her support at any point.

With Tracer you want to get as close as possible. You can usually 1-2 shot her then. Lucio is pretty much the same deal. If he pushes you away just try to get back in his face and make him panic. Be careful if you're next to any cliffs or high drop points though, Lucios push will fuck you up then.

Almost everyone on this game is fucking terrible but every so often the stars will align and it's beautiful.

So far the worst part of overwatch for me os spawn killing. How am I attack on route 66 if they have 2+ turret and widows and my team refuse to use tank? Do we really need 2 hanzo and genji eveytime? This map needs some alternate routes at start. Its too easy to stall enemy team at the beginning

I was on one team where our Junkrat kept getting killed by the opponent's Roadhog, but his death grenades would then end up killing AT LEAST one of Roadhog's softer squadmates.
Every fucking time their Roadhog did the chaingrab/buckshot to Junkrat it would result in killing one of his teammates, too.
Roadhog quit near the end of the match when our team started pointing it out and laughing at it.

There needs to be a feature that forces people with 0 objective time to have a 30 minute lockout at the menu with a splashscreen that simply says
"payload/KOTH is an OBJECTIVE BASED gametype"
make it so you need to be there at the start of the round for this to happen to avoid people who get joined late to a losing game.
ive had so goddamn fucking many times where ive died clearing 4 enemies off an objective in overtime and see my teammates too fucking scared to push.
had one of the best games tonight on illios where all 3 rounds went 99-99 overtime for about 5 minutes each. we ended up losing but i wasnt even mad, people went objective every time to reset the overtime managed to clinch the one round with a pharah quinn.

I love Lucio and his mobility, the problem is that it's not the playstyle expected from the Lucio on your team. You want him to stick close and in los of the team so his auras can work.
It's fun jumping around the entire maps and I'm guilty of it but in the end, you're not helping as much as if you were simply speeding/healing your teammates while shooting with them.
It's pretty sad but his mobility adds almost nothing to his expected playstyle.

like i said, i had more fun losing the illios map 2-1 with the 3 rounds all getting deep overtime than i did a lot of the wins i had tonight. everyone going for the overtime reset was glorious.
the next few matches were especially bad in another lobby where we had games lost with no one on the point in hanamura when both team either wiped or fled and no one bothered breaking it.
Stopped using mercy in PUG's with randies after a match on kings row where i had gold objective time and objective kills as a fucking healer while everyone else went off doing their own shit.
as you could guess, 2 widows, a bastion, hanzo and mcreasy.
