When in reality the series was beloved because of the platformers, specially considering the first game was important because of the dualshock controller, it also happens that for a series called Ape Escape, it can feel a bit incomplete at times without the human characters, like Spike who is considered to be the main one.
Is there a way to emulate the first game ?
Because of the analog sticks, I didn't manage to play it properly.

You're best bet if you don't have a gamepad or something with dual sticks is to emulate Ape Escape on the Loose for PSP
It's basically a remake of the PS1 with updated graphics, you won't need to worry about double sticks since obviously the PSP doesn't have more than one stick.

Thinking about it this game kinda spoiled me as a kid with it's style, gameplay variety, gadgets, unique controls and unlockable minigames. I think a proper Ape Escape 4 would tip me over the edge to buy a PS4.

They could at least make a remaster trilogy, the first game had a PSP port with shitty gameplay so all they need to do is grab On the Loose and update the graphics a bit while also giving it the gameplay of the first game.
