Arcade ones are not shipped outside of Japan.
Simulators died because they were a PC genre and PC took a nose-dive with the immense popularity of PS2 and the last gen.
Controllers can't compare (viz. the infamous Armored Core control scheme).
Whenever I think of a mech games, I think of something like Mechwarrior or Front mission wherein you mix and match parts of a giant robot

I may be in the minority here but I really loved the mecha in XCX and flying in general. I can't wait for a sequel with more designs.
