Totally agree, i love the game and like to know about the individual characters but
the story barely exists in the game.
I dont think that will change and those promo videos get a lot of attention but its not like it hurts the game.

Yeah the game seems to have no clear direction at all in regards to it's media. Barely any effort seems have to been made and they are trying to shoehorn a story into a fun game to sell merchandise.

I play with my friends and we only have two rules, vote for yourself if you're up, and never vote the enemy team.
Our healer almost always gets Epic which is fine by us since it's a nice pat on the back for the guy who was the healbitch that round
Realistically the matches should be Overwatch (most of the characters) against Blackwatch/Talon (Reaper, Widowmaker, maybe some of the more mercenary characters like Junkrat and Roadhog, and a bunch of faceless goons with assault rifles). But that's fucking boring, so we got everyone against everyone instead.
