I finally beat DaS yesterday, as it was the only Souls game I had not played. I'm gonna get BTFO for this I'm sure but:
DaS 3 > BB > DeS > SotfS > DaS
Now DaS was fucking great, do not misunderstand, but between it being way easier than DeS and too many areas in the world being pretty dull in aesthetics, for me it was just the weakest entry while being great at the same time.

I find with games that disappointment me, it doesn't hit me until a certain honeymoon period ends. I beat DaS3 twice before I realised it just wasn't connecting with me in the same way as Des, Das or BB did. DaS2 was the same except I was realising it before the game was finished. There was no honeymoon period. I was actually doubting myself alot of the time too by giving the game the benefit of the doubt.
I had smoked a littleweednow and again while playing and I initially put the shitty world connectivity down to me just being forgetful and not remember where I was going or where I had come from. Anyone placing Demon's high is delusional. It has some of the worst level design in the Souls franchise, the bosses are mostly lackluster, and the atmosphere everyone praises is only good in one area.
