The Gackt shit was annoying but it was a spectacle beatemup before that term became "beatemup that requires no thought or skill and rewards you for just hitting whatever buttons you feel like"
It has a far less complex version of DMC's style points, but it's more based on risk vs. reward than just playing really well, the game has an end-combo pose mechanic that gives you the grunt of style points aside from max combo hits, but they leave you open enough that you can get hit even in basic fights which detracts more style points than you would get from successfully doing the pose in the first place.
Criminally underrated.

I can't remember the map but you start at the top left side and there's some few homanoids and you just use tasker and go to bed wake up with a couple of tons worth of gear, sell it and buy the dragon like gear with stone touch or whatever it was, go take down an ogre, get the stats scrolls rinse repeat till you have 50 in astral and other elements and go bananas.

Hidden and Dangerous was the thinking man's game in the high-era of WW2 shooters. As a kid I found it very difficult to work around because of a pretty shoddy user interface and some weird AI, but when I remember the late 90's and early 2000's WW2 oversaturation I always remember two games with fondness: CDV's Sudden Strike, and Hidden & Dangerous.

You had submarines, rocket trucks, aircraft, and tanks. When you engaged in combat cinematic footage played kind of like Endless space.
The game looked gritty and industrial, The UI at the bottom had a fuel indicator. That is all I can recall.
As a kid I couldn't figure out how to refuel my units. Would like to give it another go today but I can't find it.

Overlooked as fuck Diablo clone that's probably the only game to be thematically close to original Diablo, except it's in feudal Japan, while still having it's own major distinction in the form of controlling three characters at once and dealing with formations and synergy. Shame for hard-locked resolutions because playing at 800x600 without a proper monitor really isn't doable these days anymore, though.

I remember playing a game with my brother for the Ps2 a long long time ago but I can barely remember what the fuck the game was about.
I remember the loading screen (maybe the bar) had something to do with a large ogre and ogres were also a big part of the game, I think you had to set traps maybe? I honestly don't know. I know this is pretty much useless but it was a 3d game and had something to do with ogres and powerups and battling your friend if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure there were also smaller unit types to choose from but it was a really long time ago.
If anybody can figure out what this game was from my disgustingly shit description I will love you forever.

Red Steel 1 basically has nothing to do with 2. They mostly just share a name and the idea of mixing swordplay with gunplay, but holy shit RS2 does it soooooooooooooo much better.
If you still have a Wii/Wii U/whatever, it's definitely worth giving a try. Get ready for a pretty mediocre story and cheesy VAing tho. But the gameplay is astounding.
