Rin is the most broken character in the game. You just spam her charged jump light attack until you hit something then go for air rave and repeat. You can do it like one pixel above the ground, it charges fast and travels a long distance along the ground. The only character that puts up a fight is Daidouji while other characters can't do anything about it.

This game tries way too hard to make the Evil Shinobi likable and it just has the opposite effect. Instead of it being Good Shinobi vs Evil Shinobi it's more like Good Shinobi vs Good Shinobi who go around screaming they're Evil Shinobi and then getting buttflustered when the actual Good Shinobi try to do their jobs of eliminating evil.
Gessen is basically the only likable school because everyone else is insane and does not take their shinobiing seriously.

How can one man be so wrong?
Charging her bucket (put candy in it and then shake it up by flailing or hitting enemies, or just waiting) causes all her moves to receive increased damage. When it reaches maximum charge, she dishes out more damage than Katsuragi or Yozakura's charge attacks, all while not having to charge. Releasing the bucket dumps all the damage at once, and if it's fully changed, it guarantees an instant kill on anything (even in multiplayer).
People whining about Minori being bad just can't seem to understand how to play as her.

Hit the dash key immediately after doing a heavy attack, and you can instantly move instead of having to sit there due to recovery frames. This allows you to spam the shit out of certain moves and keep people permanently locked in a combo.
