No, asia as a market has grown thanks to the PS4 and Vita being bought and sold there in massive numbers. Also asia has similar tastes as japan thanks to Sony asia over the years helping to localise and support more japanese games in that region. So Bamco is now finally jumping in when they realise they can double or triple the sales of their games by simply localising them in english (the most commonly spoken language in asia) and increase their sales massively.

Z2 series (the ones with TTGL and CG debut) is on PSP and that's easily emulated with PPSSPP. Play J or any of OG GBA games for a bit to get used to menus and you're all set.

This aired a little while ago and it's supposed to be getting a continuation. It looks a bit dodgy, being all-CGI, but it's actually a really fun super robot show about living weapons becoming giant limbs for a giant robot brawler. The plot is crazy with flying islands, really cool older antagonists who are actually good guys, and then it turns into G-Gundam when Russian and American teams show up hunting for their own giant robot hearts. Also great twist in the final episode.
I really enjoyed it but there really wasn't much of a fanbase anywhere.

English Asian translations didn't really start getting popular until this generation and region free consoles weren't really a thing until the 7th generation.
The translation will probably be fine, but there will some stuff that will gives away that the translator's primary language isn't English.

Region free really doesn't really factor in since the Asian version is playable on Asian consoles. They've been releasing an SEA version of SRW games for a long time now but only recently have decided to add that English translation when in the past the only real difference between it and the Japanese version was an English insert with game controls and such.
