This is also where the game kinda breaks because you can get a fuckload of gold if you stumble upon some high end gear and sell it. Then you can just keep training a skill (provided you know who the master trainer is) and you basically don't have to do anything. Not really a satisfying way to play.

You're not going to do much better than that. Morrowind is not a stable game built for modern CPU architecture. If you're using distant land and stuff, you won't really get better than 30-40FPS no matter what.

You don't. Just buff up your enchant. With 700-900 enchanting skill you can enchant up to 225 EP items.

Nah, CE effects are just as expensive as you would expect. Maybe they combine some enchants to stack effects, but you're still pretty limited in how much you can actually enchant an item. Permanent levitation is perfectly doable though.
And getting the success rate high enough just means boosting Intelligence (or even better Enchant) to very high levels using a Fortify enchantment/spell or abusing potions. You only really need 1 second of fortification because you can open the menu and enchant right after casting.

Oh and by the way, if anyone is playing a new character, go check out the basement of the Tower of Dusk in Ghostgate. You'll need a little sneak skill as well as a way through a level 100 lock for some of it, but there's some pretty easy glass gear there as long as you can snag it undetected. Weapons and armor both.

That's one of my main problems with morrowind. Giant lack of armor variety per class. With light armor it's especially jarring because you go straight from shit-tier to top-tier with nothing inbetween.

What I cant believe is how fucking useful the journal is. Ive found nearly everything ive needed so far without a guide, I had trouble finding some ruins for my first blade quest for the fighters guild guy, I looked that up.
Dont know why people hate the diceroll shit, I kinda love it, its make leveling up feel way more useful than skyrim/oblivion.
Sadly im medium armor as a skill for armor but the best I have is Dark Brotherhood armor that I keep getting because they keep failing to kill me.

Morrowind is all in the details and lore-friendly subtlety, an effective cell shading style is generally lackluster in the little details.
Remakes like Skywind will see to bring more of those little details about the lore in the modeling and texturing where Morrowind couldn't

Man, I love this game thus far, but the Mage's and Fighter's guild is really underwhelming. It's cool that you have choices that do matter, but it felt really rushed and pointless in the end
