Way more focused than RE6 with one campaign, probably shorter as well. For all the shit people gave RE6 it was packed with content and crazy fun in co-op. And not like it was the first game to lose sight of the survival horror aspect.
It won't be announced in this year's E3. Capcom's releasing 4 remasters this year, they are making a remake of Resident Evil 2, they will soon release Umbrella Corps, and another CGI movie is coming out as well.
Perhaps next year.

I hate what Capcom did with RE6's only because they half-assed it. I really do look forward to a possible future Capcom takes the command scheme from RE6 and uses it in a game where crawling is not only a designed way to fit through a low-ceiling passageway.

Yeah but how long will that take? It seems like that got announced right at the greenlight. Games take years from "Go Ahead" to "On Shelves", and Resident Evil games have a habit of taking their sweet time in development.
