Built mine in 2010 (Phenom II X4 955, 5850).
6 years later, I still do nothing but emulate MonHun games on PPSSPP, replay older titles even though I still have a backlog or play the odd remake/pc port (ffx for example).

Used to game on a 2010 laptop with 4 gigs of ram, 3.0Ghz dual core i5 processor and Radeon HD with 1 gig of ram. Unfortunately the motherboard malfunctioned and I had to delete some gfx drivers, otherwise the rig wouldn't even boot beyond a blue screen. The screen is stuck in 1024x768, I can't change the brightness, can't use .flux (which is killing my eyes, I work as a technical writer and translator)... Not good, anons.

Barely. I tried emulating it years ago and I couldn't get rid of the black character bug so I did a few hunts and callted it a day.
You're better off emulating MH3rd Portable HD (better graphics, better hitboxes) or Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (content) anyway.

How does it feel you are playing the game on Xbox 360 tier resolution? Even PS4 runs at 1920x1080.
Not necessarily poorfag tier, but defiantly aged tier.
I have a phenom 965, 7850 2gb, and 8gb ram I got in 2012. I can muster up just enough CPU power to play Witcher 3 and enough GPU power to play it at medium settings. Dark Souls 3 runs fine on High settings GPU wise but has bad stutters and generally lower FPS because of my 965.
I'm planning on possibly upgrading to an i5-2500k with an AMD 480 within a month or two which would double my performance in games.
