CS:GO is still pretty much the pinnacle of shooters. The complexities in gameplay and strategy, with simple fundamentals, are GOAT. CS:GO is cancer however, between hackers, smurfs, and annoying people, so Overwatch is more fun for me atm.

Nope. It is a competent multiplayer game. But It suffers from being a multiplayer game. I suck at multiplayer so that automatically bumps it down on the scoreboard simply from the frustration factor. I want to feel powerful in games. I want to feel like the badass. I get plenty of reminders about how much I suck in real life without games adding to that. Overwatch, for me, is a good break from TF2. It's fresh and the devs seem to want to build on it, while TF2 never changes, with thousands of weapons collecting dust in the workshop while they add nothing but hats to their $2.50 crates which now hide all the good cosmetics in an upper tier of rarity, on top of the unusual rates.

My problem with Overwatch is the small team size. It's also my problem with CSGO, Dota, and League.
It mainly means the games aren't fun at all unless you play with friends, because otherwise you're at the mercy of randoms and they almost always don't give a shit.
I miss just jumping into a 24 player TF2 server and not ruining my team just because I wanted to dick around and play fat scout or whatever.
In Overwatch I have to pick up the slack and go Tank or Support or else we have no chance of winning and it fucking suuuucks.

I made it through maybe 3 hours of Overwatch beta. It's just an arena shooter with some pretty casual mechanics and a stupid MOBA character-pick/counter system added on top to make things even more casual, instead of learning how to adapt to someone as the class you play, you're infinitely more likely to just switch to the "counter" (which i don't think should be allowed once the match has started) in order to deal with it.
It'd have been really fun if I were 15.

It's a fun game, but that's pretty much it so far. It's already plagued with dumbasses that tell you which character you have to play. They shouldn't have pushed the esport aspect in the marketing before introducing the ranked mode.
Also the number of game modes, the forced 6v6 matches, the tickrate (which is far more influential than I initially thought) and a certain lack of depth in the character's gameplays make it impossible to be an everlasting masterpiece.
But it is still fun though.

I don't think it is, because dedicated servers create a certain drop in drop out pub appeal that will never exist in Overwatch.
I liked Shattered Horizon better.
overwatch might not have lasting apeal if blizzard doesn't really suport it with new game modes, levels and characters.
but so far I'm having a lot of fun with it.

It's the best "first shooter" I've ever played. It is this generations halo.
I think for a veteran like me who's been heavily into FPS since the doom shareware it's way too rock-paper-scissor-esque. You see, most skill in overwatch comes from picking the right counters and positioning yourself properly, those are very "static" skills, if there is any word for it. Doesn't really feel as satisfactory for me like after weeks of practice being able to pull off a longjump into a plasmaclimb into a rocketjump into a railfrag at a complicated angle.
It could be great with dedicated servers, server browser, more maps, more gamemodes
Now it's merely okay, still pretty addictive though

It's just new and different, which is its main draw for me
In every area but graphics, TF2 is by far the better game
TF2 has more content, a far far higher skill ceiling, better map balance, better writing and characters, better art design, more moddability and an actual level editor, faster paced gameplay
