There's no real "dark age" in the Fleetway comics. They started reprinting story lines more and more towards the end, right at the end the only new material in the new issues was the cover art, but thats about it for the bad stuff. There was an era of shit in the Archie comics tho, started somewhere around the return of the second Robotnik, and ended around the 160's with Scourge. The art was also really, really horrible during the dark age.

I'm playing Sonic the Hedgehog 3D at the moment (the port by M2). I really hope they eventually do S3&K because I've never played it and M2's 3DS ports always feel like definitive version.

How do people enjoy the OVA? I shut it off out of cringe every time I've tried to watch it. I can appreciate it's style, music and artwork, but the dialogue and lines make it unwatchable for me, and I've been a fan of Sonic games for almost as long as I can remember.
That being said, I also find most anime to be unwatchable for similar reasons.

Oh man the hubs...I've actually fallen asleep while just sitting in the hubs. Adabat day is so picture perfect and dreamy and every hub at night is just so atmospheric and comfy. Ill never be able to afford any expensive travelling trips so this game will always be a god send for me. Unleashed is my favorite game in the series too, its one of the most underrated games thats for sure. Someone said earlier that anything that came off the heels of 06 would be destined to getting trashed and I believe that to be the case. Game journalists equating 06 and Unleashed on around the same scale is when I lost faith in them
