Obviously you know about X-Change, I will also recommend Yin Yang X-Change Alternative. They also made XCA2 but I don't think it ever got translated.

Stat-based dating sims are dead man. Nowadays vanilla slice of life game either only have simple choices like VN, using stats only in RPG fantasy eroges, or not being made by nips like Sunrider Academy. There's still Konami with Tokimeki Memorial and Love Plus, but then Konami is killing itself every day passed.

I've been checking out the games made by the dev Beelzebub
I like the concepts of their games, but holy shit do they fuck up the execution every time. Why do they think trial and error is so fun?
Pic related, Hypnos Fuck, for example:

Seems easy enough, but
>first you have to do trial and error persuasion by talking to them
>then they go to the clinic after you persuade them
>after school you do a mind dive, which is a small dungeon
>if you succeed, it gives you a hint for the next phase
Here's where the bullshit starts
>You now have to hypnotize them through choosing correct dialogue choices
>You have to choose the correct combination of 3 things to say
>There are 4 categories of things to say
>At least 7 things to say in each category
>If you get the magic combination right, you get A SINGLE SCENE
Each girl has like 40 scenes (some are just minor variations, like less clothes on)
Fuck that trial and error bullshit. Takes forever. Sucks extra bad because the new content that was just released doesn't have a full save uploaded anywhere yet.
It looks like all of there games have trial and error like this.

They used to be okay but over the last year a few mods have gotten particularly anal and delete all VN and eroge thread they see, despite there being no rules against them and them having been a /v/ staple for 12 years.
