I played it and it was really fun. After about 200 hours or so though, grinding and selling gear and buying a frost prime among other high value items i got bored rather quickly
It's one of those games where your goal is just to get stuff and once you have it there's nothing to do.
Like, i really wanted frost prime. Once i had it the game became more of a cakewalk and it was pretty boring. I had more fun getting frost prime than using it.
First 50 or so hours are great. Then it becomes a grind fest or pay fest, either way is shit. Warframe would be so much better if I could just pay $60 and get every thing, no hassle. Just make everything available and the resources less bullshit.

100%. It's a decent version of Destiny, but the f2p crap holds it down. Even if you buy seasonal items, it's still $150 a year, and that's for 85% of the stuff they add. I get every thing is more expensive to make up for f2p only players, but it sucks there's no decent buy version like SMITE.

The fun part about warframe is earning all your goodies. If they just handed me everything I probably wouldn't play because there would be no goal.
It seems like a fun game at first, but like that other guy has already said it just becomes a grindfest eventually. Balance is shit, odds are your frame and all your weapons are shit, you need catalysts and reactors or you're shit, and you will eventually enter the never-ending grind cycle and have to grind or beg for void keys of which there is an artificial shortage. Also the western audience is second banana to the Chinese audience, because a good company owns the game and forces DE to spend a majority of their time on the shitty Chinese version. End game gets very grindy and at a point it won't be fun anymore. But feel free to have fun with it and enjoy the ninja-esque feel for a good while. However, if you want to get serious with endgame be prepared to grind the fuck out of everything and be a complete jew when it comes to getting platinum to purchase parts for gear, rare mods, and fusion cores. After that, grind extra to get fully forma and potato those frames and weapons to get max damage to tackle neverending content(or preapproved DE content which is tailored for shitters). Not to mention, DE is extremely incompetent when it comes to balancing and FUN and makes bad decisions on content.
Source: You will never sit through an event for 7 hours straight of autism to leaderboard and aid your clan to hit gold, where your enemies are hoping to stay connected through sleek and you must break the game to achieve such feats.

There is no P2W, it's a PvE game. Every single weapon and frame is available in game but must be built using blueprints and materials and then waiting. Only thing you can't get is cosmetics and slots.
The slots are a big deal but only cost 20p for 1 frame slot and 12p for 2 weapon slots. Typically if you want plat there are two ways to do it, buy it or trade for it. The only time you should buy platinum (if you like the game) is when you get a 50% or 75% off platinum from your daily login reward. .
Trading is pretty subjective. There are a lot of idiots playing that are more than happy to spend $50 worth of platinum on your overpriced garbage. It takes patience but its doable. I have a slot for every frame, at least 40 weapon slots, more than half of all the cosmetics available and still have about 2000 platinum left. Just devote your time to finding something rare and sell it in the trade chat. Event mods and vaulted prime frames and weapons sell for a lot.

You're right. The experience of farming a planet or mission countless times for the resources and then having to wait anywhere from like 12-72 hours for your stuff while you grind more stuff for more shit you want to build.
The actual challenge and fun in the game is few and far between.

Played this off and on for a while since waaay back in closed beta, would pop back in to see some new updates for a while. It got a bit old when you realized that only a couple of frames were actually useful, same with the weapons. Shit was just way too imbalanced to justify bringing most characters. Stopped sometime mid-2013. Holy fuck, that was 3 years ago now.
Did they ever do any real balancing? Are higher difficulties still just bullet sponge bullshit?

1.Grind up whatever the best gun is at the moment
2.Grind up forma/taters to make it usable
3.Grind something else for a week
