i mean a lot to do outside of pokemon battles. if you want good pokemon battles then both X/Y and OR/AS are complete shit at them and should just go for HG/SS or B2/W2

They both suck, but OR/AS has all the new Mega stones. Mega Beedrill is pretty neat desu.
Gamefreak didn't say those stones couldn't be patched into XY, they just said they wouldn't do it.
The only thing I've used my 3DS for this year is Fates and mirai.
