The NCR is better for the Mojave than Caesar's Legion
I put 20 hours into my last game. Then I started OWB (AKA leddit: The DLC) and now I'm annoyed at myself and regretting it. I can't be arsed to finish it to get back to the mojave so I'm going to start over again.

What I mean is that OlWoBlu is a round desert with maniacs that respawn in 10 seconds and lol so funny robots, DeMo is a red toxic minefield filled with bulletsponge zombies, and LoRo is FFXIII. I think Zion is the only one that isn't drab and intolerable. It's the one place where you get stuck that you aren't itching to escape 10 minutes in. At least that's what happened to me.

I don't know man, the exact opposite happened to me. I was trapped in some boring canyon with rivers and walls as far as the eye can see all while the only distractions is the occasional White Legs or Yao Guai.
The second time through I just shot people, grabbed the map and left.

You get to chose to be a member of just about any faction or something like a caravaneer or town drunk or merc or a courier if you still want to be one. There are certain bonuses and/or penalties for each one, like starting with Jury Rigging if you're a mechanic. If you chose to be apart of a faction it starts you in the appropriate area i.e. if you're a fiend you start off in fiend territory.

I just had a thought, anyone know if there is a mod for this?
I want a mod that remives the Pip-boy completely. I don't want to have a map, I don't want to be able to fast travel or easily manage my inventory or be able to carry a million pounds. I want to have to actually learn the lay of the land and find my way using landmarks.

When people do alt start mods, it's expected that it's gonna fuck with the mq a little bit. But if you really give a shit about making an alt start connect to the plot, there's ways to get creative. I played an alt start of the twin of the dead Courier 6 who assumed their identity and went full revenge mode in order to get it to flow with the story better. But if you're super autisitc and don't want to play make-believe when dialogue conflicts with your character then you're probably shit outta luck with alt start mods.
