hitboxes/hurtboxes don't matter. in 3s or 4 i could do stuff like alex s.hk or ryu/akuma s.mk to hit low limbs while my own legs hurtbox went over their hitbox, preventing a trade.

hurtboxes in this game reach down to the very ground on every move except for the rare hop attacks like mika hk or chun hk. so the only thing that matters for a char is the frames on startup and for how long the hurtbox stays out after active frames run out. this is why chun, karin, nash are strong as fuck. they can use their long as fuck limbs with fast startup and fast recovery all day and you're likely to lose every time simply because your moves have less reach and are much easier to hit due to hurtboxes staying out forever.
when i play alex in 5 and i do a hk, karin can just mash jab or cr.mk from 3/4 of the screen away and still hit me out of it. its retarded. you're gambling every time you stick out a long range poke, theres no strategy. you cant use certain moves to beat others because hurtboxes are the same all the time. just do your fastest shit and hope for the best

Not lying mate, the game is fucking unplayable around here. I've spent hours trying, with a groups of friend, to create a lobbie and play only 2 out of 5 people were actually able to play some matches without capcom's server fucking everything up,e even after we all forward ported all routers. I even went to SFG on /vg/ to see if it was only with me and my friends but the dude from there had the same problems.

every single button can hit every other button. you can stop an attack with jab, with sweep, with whatever you want. you just have to get lucky and get your active frames first.

EVO yes. The end of this yeas CPT I don't know. At the moment it is definitely riding the high of having new players+oldies coming back. Reminder that 3 (three) months in (90 fucking days), the game still lacks basic features as:

Fast matchmaking, there is a huge, multiple minute downtime between matches (in the most popular fighting game with crossplay)
Region filtering
Latency that is not equalized unlike every other rollback netcodes and instead puts all the burden in one player
Training mode that remembers your settings
Stats that work
Proper ragequit punishment
Directinput or key rebiding (wtf lol) for the pc version
Arcade mode, a simple, easy to implement feature for casuals present in every fighting game since the begining of time
An online shop that works.

And this is only on the top of my head.
Honestly this game should have come out this holiday season or early 2017, at the very least they shouldn't have released a game with less features than the previous one. It scared away a lot of players and people that wanted to get into fighting games for life.

It's annoying, but you learn to remain calm and deal with it appropriately.

Thing with Ken: His range is abysmal and most characters can simply outpoke him. Use that to your advantage. Also, those types of players will do something crazy once their gimmick falls flat, like a fullscreen HK tatsu or something, so just be patient.

SF4 was pretty unacceptable too, especially on PS3.

PC wasn't so egregious. I think it was like 1-2f delay on PC? I know Xbox and PS3 were like 3-4f.

my biggest gripe is kens insane setups on knockdown, but everything he has gives knockdown

any button with v-skill is knockdown
every special is knockdown

but the kicker is the spacing he gets from them, he's always right there and ready for oki no matter what he hit you with

The only fighting game that has gotten that low is skullgirls because mikez is a magic jew. PC and xbox versions of sf4 have 4 frames. the ps3 version has 5 frames. The ps4 version had 8 frames until they patched it down to 5.

Honestly, I have no idea. I heard they will drop once you have won enough ranked matches, but I recently unlocked the 300 wins in ranked achievement and still no yellow title. Will keep grinding however.
