I am torn on what skin to get for my 1000 zenny. I used to play a lot of Mercy, but had to stop as I got so useless teams. I've been playing a lot of pharah, and gotten decent with her, but all of her skins are high tier.

Pharah's splash damage is worthless, she isn't TF2's soldier. You want to break up teams so you can pick them off one by one with direct hits along with your teammates. Often you get teams clustered behind a reinhardt, or with a mercy, a Bastion or a turret or whatever, you split them up so they can be picked off.
Splash damage is something you can only ever rely on to finish off badly hurt enemies. If you are not getting direct hits most of the time, give up playing Pharah and play a click to win hero

Pharah is amazing at skirmishing one on one because she has two get out clauses on cooldown and can attack from completely different angles, appearing directly above and taking out the enemy at her leisure, and then getting behind cover or back to her team

Don't play her in the air, you'll be slaughtered
Use her right click to skate a few feet above ground level, strafe and hover around to fuck people up while peppering them with rockets. Since you're a little closer direct hits work well, and you have the lshift as either a last resort escape or general area traversal. Save conc blast for when people get too close.

False. Assuming you can aim, Mercy does 100 damage a second with her pistol. If you're with someone like Genji and there are enemies, you're better off shooting at them with Genji then damage boosting him. Also, if you're all alone with Reinhardt and he has his shield up, fucking shoot people through it while you wait for other teammates to join you two.
Also if you're caught alone and people are attacking you, what are you going to do, wave your staff around and hope you don't die?

Don't have the image but I can tell you that McCree and Lucio are top tier while Mei, Zenyatta, Bastion, and possibly D.Va are shit tier. Everyone else is in the middle.
I left a game that had obvious retards on the team, 100% offense and sniper picks. (There is no penalty for leaving during assembling heroes phase, take advantage of that.) A couple minutes later I got matched into the same goddamn team who of course were in progress losing round 1, then round 2.

I can't do shit with mercy without playing in a party. I have something like a 30% winrate with her while I have 80% with lucio.

I used to hate playing D.Va, but since I got a decent skin and some emotes/voices I love pissing people off with her. Shouting "EL OH EL" constantly, jet thrusting people off edges, spraying weebshit vivi's aventure on the floor after every kill, spamming the pistol after I leave the mech while backing up into an area filled with teammates as bait. I annoy the fuck out of people but it's so fun. Nothing beats the satisfaction of arcing your mech into self destruct over a building and scoring 3+ kills. Gibraltar is perfect for it near the last payload checkpoint.
There is no OP characters only people who are good at video games and people who complain about video games. No more. No less.

I play every two days with my favorite heroes, getting better with them and discovering new ways of
playing them. I understood that learning everything about each hero kit is not the same as further
learning the matchups, how to play a certain character better, etc.
Yet, I see these people getting frustrated over not getting a particular skin from loot boxes. How they
got bored from the game fast because 'what it offers can be played in few hours'.
From all of this, I ultimately realized how frustration and stress can get negate your enjoyment, but
most importantly, how most of the times, the reason behind such frustration is extremely illogical.

I don't think the game is unbalanced, but I do think Genji players on my team puts us at a disadvantage. They rarely seem to use their mobility to get behind the enemy and break them up and being too far away for heals means that they are just canon fodder.
At least Hanzo's can stay in team range and has an ult that at least will suppress the enemy for a few seconds.

She's my main - and I gold medal a lot of games on eliminations and damage. You also have to know your role on the team sometimes. Sometimes I'm just an elimination machine othertime I've gotta focus on taking out certain targets (Bastion, Reinhardt, Mei, and other more ground based guys) and sometimes even countering Hanzo/Window Maker if I'm fast enough.
It's a fine line though, I would like to see a bit more splash damage from the rockets, and probably a bit more head on damage too.. I'd also like to be able to move during the ultimate because afterall, she's fucking Pharah why can't she, but she's already effective and dangerous in the right hands so you start to make it easier and she'll become overpowered.
