Shanni also risked her job helping you with the hospital during your investigation, and she stayed in the city longer than she would've for your sake.
But the whole Alvin plot was a little janky. I wasn't a huge fan of Witcher 1, but I must admit it had some very interesting long term quests, whereas Witcher 2-3 and the quests are very much self contained and that is one aspect i miss.

ive had to restart the witcher 1 three times since i bought it back when it first came out. circumstances not related always had me stop during the swamp (unrelated to how much it sucks). so restarting and having to go back through them, every time, it was horrible
