Nah. It's by far the most gimmicky mainline game in terms of mechanics, and for that alone it's not that great. The shottypes are also just kind of eh compared to, say, PCB or MoF. And, while I am aware that this is subjective, I didn't really enjoy the music or the new characters in UFO.
I mean it's fine if you liked it anon, but to call it objectively good is silly, especially when it has real objective faultsred bullets on a red background, great idea ZUN, glad you took the best thing from MS and brought it back twice.

Hard to say, shooters are fine but they obviously have limited appeal and even among SHMUPs 2hu games are kinda unorthodox so it's a niche within a niche. I'll take anything skinned as a 2hu game and it'd be interesting to see ZUN collaborate with other people to make more than SMHUPs and fightan games. Doujin games aren't uncommon but good ones are.

That's one of the things I love about PoFV. It took Mystia, Cirno, Tewi, and the Prismrivers, all minor characters at the time, and greatly expanded upon them. Zun could have taken the easy route and used Remilia, Yuyuko, Yukari and Patchouli (all but one of them already had sprites for being playable, even), but he didn't.
I haven't played many 2hu games, which ones can I do the most fun time-stop shit as Sakuya?

That said, LoLK was a complete disappointment after DDC and i found it quite boring to 1cc.

I haven't caught up with what's going on since I'm still trying to beat DDC, but I really like Touhou as fandom and a game. Fans are chill. Music is top notches as are the remixes/rearranges. Artists draw loads a shit for me look at and admire. Overall, I like it. Just need to read some of the manga that's been out since I've only read the Eientei 4Koma and Silent Sinner in Blue.
I really would like another PoFV with pic related still in. That game is loads of fun to play with friends.
Something a little more unrealistic I'd like is a musou game with Touhou characters. There are a lot of characters to pick and make them very unique. It would be even cooler to make characters that are a little more nuanced ala Sengoku Basara, but even just a regular musou with Touhou characters would make me very happy.
