By being provided very barebones instructions by Namco Bandai marketing PR people and not giving even the slightest of fucks. Notice how the special thanks on the credits page doesn't mention Fromsoft, but does include Bamco and the Dark Souls 3 IP strategy director.

Also this comic seems to have pretty much nothing to do with anything Dark Souls related. And Fira is entirely too effective, she's too... strong? Dark Souls is always about people meeting shitty ends or getting their shit slapped. Even Seiglinde got captured once.
