It's not in the patch notes but the UI they snowed for palace of the dead has a window called item effects.

The only use of this change is for taking action shots without the barrel showing up. For everything else it's a pointless change because nobody pays attention to other people's glamors during actual content, and outside of content people just disable the barrel.

It was mentioned in a live letter or interview a few months back. I think around 3.1? Yoshida off handedly mentioned something about the team being 'hard pressed' and not so subtly saying that people were yanked off. Taking that, paired with the fact that we get two dungeons per patch and re-used art assets out the ass I'm honestly inclined to believe it. The sad thing is that XIV is one of the few things keeping Squeenix afloat while KH3 and 7R will inevitably bleed money. So I've been slowly acquiring unidentified pieces after getting my one relic up to the current stage. Now they're making ixali dailies give gathering/crafting IVs. I was doing kobold sylphs and planned to drop sylphs for moogle, but I'm not sure if I should also drop kobold and switch to Vanu/Vath/Moogle/Ixali.

I am pretty excited about this patch, even though there is a lack of actual content. All my crafters are leveled, and slightly geared. I am getting a FC up to rank 6 this weekend so I will have a house and airship all to myself. I took a break, so haven't been able to do anything when it has been bleeding edge content and that is always the best time to do stuff. Another PVP will be interesting for a little while. I just hope Nidhogg is a dance and not a mechanical clusterfuck. Dances are always the best, imo. Titan, Shiva, Sephirot, etc. And hopefully Aquapolis is kind of random so the best choices aren't figured out immediately. Same with Palace of the Dead when it comes out. They need to try their hardest to not have another Diadem.

Open one of the buildings in Mor Dhona as Adventurer apartments, and create a number of floors. Instead of having instanced houses in instanced wards you'd have one building with an infinite number of Floor instances.

Raiton is 360 potency, katon was 180 before, so you pretty much relying on those crits for extra damage.
now its a netgain since its 500 potency total now for hitting 2
also considering theres no damage cap, katon could be pretty lethal for larger groups now. I don't even know if the doton buff will be worth it unless your other AOE partner is shit

I'm having a lot of trouble controlling my buffs and the battlefield at the same time (just lvl'd up BLM to 60 and controlling the astral, firestarter, thundercloud and fucking enochian is a headhache, never had trouble before).

Nocturnal Benefic was changed to shield for 130% of what it healed. Aspected Helios is shit so they changed it to a 120% shield too.
Spread's recast time was lowered though which is a decent change.

That Spread buff is actually really good.
It makes the class much more strategic, because you can now plan around doling out buffs at certain times (think Enhanced Bole for tankbusters) without gimping yourself.

I don't play TT, and fenrir is a shit tier mount. It's not even all that rare anymore now that the game has been out for ages, so it doesn't even have that going for it anymore. Default chocobo is the only acceptable mount because you can swap its barding to match your glamour.
So Raid Finder is just a glorified DF menu and only applies to shit you can solo queue. WHAT A GREAT USE OF RESOURCES.

I got it to lv 34 for quelling and I loved it. Kinda sad I had to drop it. A lot of people say it sucks in new content because they give most of thier abilities a cast time with a lv52 ability, where up until then bard was the only class that never had to stand still for anything. Do them once you have a class at 60. You don't need to, but it will make things go a lot faster.

Gathering is the easiest way to make money. You want to have your Miner and Botanist to a minimum of 30. Then you want your free retainers to be a Miner and a Botanist. This while they can gather items for you to sell while you gather items as well. You'll also need them to gather crystals for you when you start getting into crafting.

Leveling a tank class 'cause I'm bored.
I was just in Cutters, and some DRG kept consistently attacking a different enemy than the one I was focusing down, making me lose aggro on it and having to divide my attention.
I was under the impression that it was always better to focus down single enemies as a party, making it easier for the tank to hold aggro on the whole pack and getting rid of enemies faster. Is that true, or am I just supposed to deal?
Also, what other tips should I know? Level 41 WAR.

Whether the dps are making your job more difficult than it should be or not, there's no excuse for consistently dropping aggro. Cycle through targets or use some aoe. The enmity bars exist for a reason.

Overpower 3 times is usually enough to keep threat on you. at later levels you get Steel Cyclone which is a threat bomb

Yes sir. The symbols next to their names on the enemy list show their enmity. They should always be red dots/squares or whatever the fuck they are.
As for keeping aggro, use your combo as always on the main enemy, then rotate a few times on the others with Overpower sprinkled every once in a while
